Skies full of pain stare down those
Souls whose backs have hurt beneath
A thousand suns, endless hours
Where sweat and indignant tears
Gave birth an outpouring rain
An ocean of sadness fills,
Washing away their childhood
With nothing to remember,
Their fortune, long forgotten,
An eternity made of repetition.
Once upon a time, the child
Sought wealthy recognition,
His mother’s love was a cry;
The sound of birds taking flight
Into the heaven made for repetition.
